The Shimano Deore XT M8000 rear derailleur Delivers reliable and precise shifting with a stiff and lightweight open design. Its Shadow design has a slant angle that’s been optimised for use with larger sprockets and the cage features a super low profile design that reduces the risk of damage. The Shadow Plus system uses a chain stabilising switch that when on, reduces chain bounce in rough terrain maintaining a more stable drive and reliable shifting. This can be switched off to remove the wheel.

The Direct Mount system on the Shimano Deore XT M8000 rear derailleur 11 Speed model gives you more space around the rear frame dropout. This results in easier rear wheel removal but also allows frame designers to shorten chain stays, increase axle sizes and move suspension pivots.
