Bicycle Sales

All online sales are covered by our standard Warranty Policy available here: https://properbikeshop.co.uk/pages/warranty-policy. We prefer for all bike sales to be completed in store, however, for those buying online, here is some handy information.

All bicycles are assembled and packaged by the manufacturer - Lifecycles receive bikes boxed up in this partially built state. When you buy a bicycle from Proper Bike Shop, we unpack the bike, complete the bike build, and then perform a PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection), install any accessories you have requested, and then the bike is packed into a suitable bike box.

We follow a strict PDI process which conforms to BS EN 14764 (City & Trekking), BS EN 14766 (Mountain Cycles), BS EN 14781 (Road Cycles) and BS EN 14765 (Childrens Cycles).

All PDI's are carried out by Cytech Level 3 trained bicycle mechanics, and checked by the Shimano Service Centre Manager and Lifecycles Workshop Manager, prior to despatch.

If the bicycle you purchased is taken from the shop floor it may not be shipped in the original box, however it is bought from our warehouse stock then it will be shipped in its original bike box. Please don't be alarmed if the bike box doesn't say on the outside what you are expecting on the inside! We always ship the correct bikes and accessories out, according to the online order you have placed.

Please note

Mail order bikes are only covered by warranty if the bicycle is assembled by a proficient and qualified bicycle mechanic before use. Our PDI process is checked by Cytech Level 3 qualified mechanics, Many manufacturers make this clear on their website and warranty policy also. If you have any problems with your bicycle delivery, please contact us before use.
